Letter: Standing behind a dedicated public official in Dickinson

In response to a recent letter by Shannon Meier, I would like to share my thoughts on Stark County Sheriff Clarence Tuhy.

I have known Tuhy for the past 13 years, and have come to know him as a man of integrity and leadership. He has strong beliefs and a caring heart. He is a family man and an active member of his church. Most importantly, Tuhy has dedicated his career to serve and protect the citizens of Stark County.

Meier, when I think of a police officer, Tuhy fits the bill. The citizens of Stark County must agree, he has been voted in overwhelmingly.

Tuhy is an upstanding member of the law enforcement community. My family and I will continue to support him.
