Letter: Public’s eyes, ears needed to help uncover truth in missing man case

It has been two months since the young man vanished from near his workplace in north Dickinson. Although there is no reason to suspect foul play, there is also no reason to believe that Eric Haider willfully went missing.

If an acquaintance offers you a ride, please think twice. Is it a kindness, or is it a lure?

When attention is given to the survival role of instincts and intuition, what is learned can be lifesaving. The perp could still be in Dickinson. Play it safe.

Whether you are stepping on the sidewalk or cruising the countryside, if one or more of your six senses tell you that something is very wrong, please report that to the police. Your information or impressions ultimately may help to prevent another disappearance.

My belief is that Haider will be found. However, the police don’t have a lot of leads. They need the public’s eyes and ears to help uncover the trail.

This is not a call to persecute or take revenge. But if you have a nagging concern that a person is dangerous, this is not a time to be smoothing it over or brushing it away. Someone needs to be unmasked.
