BISMARCK (AP) — Law enforcement officers say three people arrested for theft of copper wire from a Bismarck business may have been involved in similar crimes in North Dakota and other states.

Thirty eight-year-old Soran Kareen Kaka of West Fargo, 31-year-old Jerry Eugene Dean of Fargo, and 27-year-old Joel Lumbreras of Carrizo Spring, Texas, were charged with felony burglary and felony theft of property for a break-in last week at RK Electric in Bismarck.

According to an affidavit filed by a North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation special agent, the burglary in Bismarck is similar to an earlier one in Fargo and others in South Dakota and Iowa. However, none of the three suspects has been charged in any burglaries or thefts other than the one in Bismarck.
