Fresh into town after hitching a ride to Dickinson from Seattle, James Olson walks his cat, Babe, on Wednesday in Dickinson. “She doesn’t like to be alone,” Olson said. “I was going to name her Malta, after the island off the coast of Italy.” Olson, originally from New Jersey, is looking for a job in town, and said he might like to work as a dishwasher.
