BLM seeks comments on pipeline running through parts of North Dakota
The Bureau of Land Management North Dakota Field Office is seeking public comments regarding a proposed Bakkenlink pipeline which will go from Beaver Lodge to Fryburg.
The Bureau of Land Management North Dakota Field Office is seeking public comments regarding a proposed Bakkenlink pipeline which will go from Beaver Lodge to Fryburg.
The proposed pipeline is designed to carry up to 65,000 barrels of oil per day, with expansion capabilities of up to 100,000. It would be buried and would follow existing pipeline and utility easements and corridors where feasible, according to the BLM.
The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts associated with the construction of the 132-mile long, 12-inch diameter welded steel crude pipeline, according to the BLM.
The BLM will accept comments on the Environmental Assessment until Sept. 15. Comments become public information.
