Donating in the Battle of the Badges

Anton Helfrich, left, of Killdeer, sits patiently donating blood Monday down the hall from the movie theatre at Prairie Hills Mall while Jennifer Haggins, a donor technician, records information on Helfrich’s chart. Local residents began to filter into the mall Monday to donate blood as part of the Battle of the Badges, a friendly rivalry between local law enforcement and firefighters to see who can garner the most blood donations.
