4 charged in Williston-area kidnapping case

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Four men arrested during a drug bust in Williston also are accused of kidnapping another man.

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Four men arrested during a drug bust in Williston also are accused of kidnapping another man.

A total of 10 people living mostly in campers were arrested during the Aug. 23 bust. Four of them are charged with kidnapping Robert Osterhour, putting him in the trunk of a vehicle and taking him to a rural site in northeastern Montana on Aug. 13. A resident alerted authorities.

Police say the ordeal landed Osterhour in a hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

Nicholas Woodford, James Odeneal, Jeffrey Butler and Tyler White are being held on bonds ranging from $50,000 to $200,000. None has an attorney listed in court documents.

Odeneal and White are from North Dakota, Woodford from California and Butler from Texas.
