A robbery early Monday at Kentucky Fried Chicken topped off the last unofficial weekend of summer in Dickinson.

The robbery occurred just after 8 a.m. at the Osborn Drive restaurant.

Dickinson Police Department Officer Brandon Stockie said there were no weapons used. He said he could not release any information about whether or not there were injuries.

Stockie said the person is believed to have gotten away with an undisclosed amount of money.

As of Monday afternoon, Stockie said there was believed to be only one person involved.

Officers have a description of the person they think was involved, but he said the DPD was not ready to release the information Monday because the incident is under investigation.

A representative at KFC declined to comment.

Stockie said the department will be able to release more information today.

Four people were busted for allegedly driving under the influence in Dickinson over the weekend, he said.

“It was a pretty slow week,” Stockie said. “That’s a good thing.”

No one from the Stark County Sherriff’s Office or the North Dakota Highway Patrol was available Monday for comment.
