WILLISTON (AP) — A Williston man has been sentenced to five years in prison for sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.

Kristopher Caples,19, pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition in March. He appeared last week in Northwest District Court in Williston and was given credit for nearly a year he already has served in jail while awaiting sentencing
Authorities say the crime occurred in October.
