Heart River remains at No. 2 in the Class 1A poll

For the second week in a row, the Heart River football team sits in the No. 2 spot in the Class 1A football poll.
The Cougars started out the season with back-to-back wins against Watford City and Southern McLean.
Stanley-Powers Lake sits in the top spot garnering all 11 first-place votes. Hazen has crept into the No. 5 after a 39-0 win against New Salem-Almont-Glen Ullin.
Heart River’s opponent this week Grant County-Flasher received four votes in the poll after starting out the season with a 2-0 record.
Wyndmere-Lidgerwood held on to the No. 1 spot in the 9-man poll with eight first-place voted. North Star got four first-place votes and is No. 2. Divide County is the lone Region 4 team ranked in 9-man. The Maroons are No. 3.
