Ringwall leads Coyotes at Williston at invite

BISMARCK — The Williston girls swimming and diving team saw some of the best competition in North Dakota on Saturday.

Ketti Ringwall, a swimmer from Dickinson Trinity who competes in the co-op with Williston, took first in the 100-meter freestyle as the Coyotes placed fourth on Saturday at the Bismarck High Invitational.

The Coyotes finished with 258 points as Fargo North won the event with a 391.

Ringwall won the 100 freestyle with a time 54.96 seconds, beating Minot’s Cassandra Askvig by nearly two seconds. The Trinity junior also placed fourth in the 200 freestyle (2:01.78).

Leah Grove, a freshman from Dickinson High, placed fifth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 58.91. She added a 15th-place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:12.75).

Samie Bohl, the Dickinson side’s senior captain, rounded out the top finishers after taking 12th in the 100 butterfly (1:09.30).

Williston’s next meet is the Bismarck Century Invitational at 4 p.m. Friday.
