Letter: Dickinson Press US flag editorial right on the mark

Your article, “U.S. flags raised, lowered with each setting sun” (Sept. 16) was perfectly written and I applaud you, word for word, in your writing.

My family has a front-yard U.S. flag on a flagpole, with proper lighting and appropriate change-out that we have flown for close to 50 years.

I live in my deceased parents’ home proudly (Dad was a U.S. Army retired officer) and this tradition will continue during my lifetime.

Thank you for stating exactly how I feel about the proud and appropriate flying of our flag. This article should be afforded to each and every one of us in this great country.
