NDSU still No. 1, Montana State No. 2 in FCS polls

The North Dakota State and Montana State football teams retained their first- and second-place rankings, respectively, in the Football Championship Subdivision coaches and media polls on Monday following weekend win.

The North Dakota State and Montana State football teams retained their first- and second-place rankings, respectively, in the Football Championship Subdivision coaches and media polls on Monday following weekend win.

NDSU, which beat Northern Iowa 33-21 on the road Saturday, is ranked first in both the coaches and Sports Network FCS polls, followed by Montana State and Youngstown State.

The Bison host No. 3-ranked Youngstown State at noon Saturday.

A third loss on the season bounced Montana out of the Top 25 for the first time since November 1998.

Eastern Washington is ranked seventh in both polls after its 32-26 win over Montana. Northern Arizona is ranked 18th by the media and 21st by the coaches while Cal Poly is ranked 19th by the media and 20th by the coaches.
