After a 29-27 loss to Killdeer, Heart River fell to the No. 4 spot in the North Dakota Class 1A football poll on Wednesday.
The Cougars (5-1) received 27 points, while Stanley-Powers Lake (6-0) remained in the top spot, garnering all 11 first-place votes and 61 points. Hazen (4-2) moved into the top five with six points.
North Star (6-0) took over the top spot in the 9-man poll with 61 points and 11 first-place votes.
Wyndmere-Lidgerwood (6-1) dropped to the fourth spot after a 26-14 loss to LaMoure-Litchville-Marion. Divide Country (7-0) moved up to the No. 2 spot and received one first-place vote.
