Friday Night High School Football: Beach subdues Shiloh Christian

BISMARCK — Marshall Nunberg scored the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter and Beach held on to defeat Shiloh Christian in a 9-man, Region 4 game.

Nunberg had a 47-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Weinreis in the second quarter to get the Buccaneers (6-2, 6-2 Region 4) on the board.

Beach looks to earn Region 4’s No. 3 seed in the 9-man playoffs. It hosts Bowman County at 6 p.m. next Friday. The Skyhawks (6-2, 6-2 Region 4) visit Hettinger-Scranton.

BEULAH — Beulah’s stay atop the Class 2A poll may not last long.

Nick Bernston rushed for two touchdowns as No. 5-ranked Minot Ryan edged the No. 1-ranked Miners in a West Region game.

Karson Hintz rushed for 164 yards and all three Beulah (6-1) touchdowns.

Austin Eggl had 131 yards passing and the go-ahead 6-yard TD run in the third quarter for the Lions (6-1).

RICHARDTON — No. 4-ranked Heart River got back on the winning track, shutting out Richardton-Taylor Hebron in a Class 1A, Region 4 game.

Seth Ewoniuk and Cole Hecker each rushed for two touchdowns and caught another. Ewoniuk had 84 yards rushing while catching a 15-yard TD pass. Hecker rushed for 81 yards and had 71 yards on three receptions, including a 46-yard yard TD pass from Tyson Kudrna.

Kudrna was 6 of 8 for 114 yards passing.

Cole Hlebechuk rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns for the Cougars (6-1, 5-1 Region 4).
