Grove, Midgets win Silver title at Scheels Invitational

FARGO — Abby Grove was dominant as Dickinson High won the Silver Tournament championship on Saturday at the Scheels Invitational.

Grove had 14 kills as Dickinson beat West Fargo 25-19, 25-19.

“Abby Grove had the match of her life against West Fargo,” Dickinson head coach Jay Schobinger said. “They couldn’t stop her. She was on fire.”

The Midgets (20-6) beat Williston 25-12, 25-17 in the first round and Bismarck High 25-21, 14-25, 15-11 in the semifinals.

“We had some long rallies against Bismarck High,” Schobinger said. “The kids played hard, which is nice to see.”
