In other court news, Tanner Brannin, Dickinson, pleaded not guilty a preliminary hearing Monday to Class C felony aggravated assault and Class B misdemeanor simple assault.
Brannin, 24, is accused of throwing a victim down by her hair and kicking her in the back and lungs and choking her until she could not breathe and nearly lost consciousness July 15, according to a criminal complaint.
Although there was question at the hearing about whether or not the victim completely lost consciousness and how much hearsay was involved, Judge Zane Anderson ordered a pretrial conference.
