Killdeer seals home playoff game, R-T-H misses postseason

KILLDEER — Riley Rohde and Christian Kulish each rushed for two touchdowns as Killdeer secured Region 4’s No. 2 seed in the Class 1A playoffs with a 41-7 win over Richardton-Taylor-Hebron on Friday night.
The loss kept the Raiders out of the postseason.
Rohde, Kulish, Trenton Rohr and Lewis Dobitz combined to rush for 301 yards. Rohr led the way with 95 yards on six carries.
Paul Koppinger led R-T-H with 56 yards rushing, including a 35-yard TD run.
Killdeer will host Velva next Saturday afternoon. A game time has not yet been determined.

BELFIELD — Seth Ewoniuk rushed for 227 yards and two touchdowns as Heart River defeated New Salem-Almont-Glen Ullin in its Class 1A, Region 4 regular-season finale.
Cole Hecker added 94 yards rushing and a touchdowns for Heart River, which will have the region’s No. 3 seed in the playoffs that begin next Saturday.

Marshall Nunberg threw two touchdowns in the first quarter. Hunter Weinreis rushed four times for 75 yards, including a 65-yard TD. Anthony Weinreis added six carries for 48 yards.
For the Bulldogs, John Yale was 10 of 19 for 100 yards passing.
Beach will be Region 4’s No. 3 seed in the playoffs.
