MINOT, N.D. (AP) — No travel is being advised in parts of northern North Dakota due to icy roads.

The Minot Police Department and the McKenzie County Sheriff's Department both have issued no-travel advisories. Minot police report numerous vehicle accidents. In McKenzie County, authorities say reduced visibility also is a problem.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northwest and north central North Dakota due to snow, sleet and freezing rain. Snow could accumulate in the north central and northeastern parts of the state.
Forecasters say the southwest and south central regions could get rain, freezing rain and sleet.
