Police said the GMC Envoy crashed on Interstate 94 about 8:40 a.m. Friday when the driver lost control in icy conditions while traveling east and the vehicle rolled.
Authorities said 21-year-old Desiree Dawn Jansen died at the scene and 19-year-old Miranda Irene Jansen died several hours later at a hospital in North Dakota. Police said the two women were not wearing seatbelts and were thrown from the vehicle.
Police said 55-year-old Marie Cody Jansen was driving and was transported to a hospital in North Dakota in serious condition. Police said she was wearing a seatbelt.
