A Cordova Construction employee demolishes Dickinson’s swimming pool on Fairway Street Wednesday afternoon to make room for the Stark County Veterans Memorial.

A Cordova Construction employee demolishes Dickinson’s swimming pool on Fairway Street Wednesday afternoon to make room for the Stark County Veterans Memorial. Diane Kunz, who lives nearby, said her children frequently swam in the pool when they were little. “It makes me sad,” she said. “I understand perfectly, but it’s hard for us older people.”
