What you need to know: Ray is making its first trip to state since 2007 and its eighth overall tournament appearance … The Jays swept Watford City to win the Region 8 championship … Park River-F-L is making its 10th state appearance … The Aggies are led by senior Kirsten Johnson who posted 20 kills in PR-F-L’s 19-25, 25-22, 14-25, 25-19, 15-10 win over Hatton Northwood in the Region 2 championship match.
Langdon (32-9-1) vs. Minot Our Redeemer’s (35-10-1), 7 p.m.
What you need to know: Langdon is making its state-record 15th state tournament appearance and first since 2010 … The Cardinals have won three state championships (2003, 2008, 2010) … Minot Our Redeemer’s is making its second state appearance in school history and first since 2004 … Langdon rallied to top Carrington 26-24, 21-25, 13-25, 25-18, 15-11 in the Region 4 championship match … Minot Our Redeemer’s are led by senior outside hitter Ashley Koppinger who had a team-high 16 kills in the Knights’ 25-17, 25-13, 25-15 win over Bottineau in the Region 6 title match.
