3 Midgets, Schieno named to all-state volleyball teams

MINOT — After the Class A state volleyball tournament was all said and done, three Dickinson volleyball players took home all-state honors.

Dickinson High’s seniors Ali Moody and Abby Grove were named to the all-state first team and all-tournament team in Class A, while Dickinson Trinity Alyson Schieno was named to the Class B all-state team on Saturday at the Minot State Dome.

Moody, who is verbally committed to play volleyball North Dakota State, finished the state tournament with 64 assists, 23 kills and 35 digs. Grove compiled 51 kills and 20 digs.

The Midgets finished the tournament with a third place win over West Fargo in four sets.

Schieno, who is signed to play volleyball at Dawson Community College in Glendive, Mont., supplied 53 kills and 36 digs.

The Titans finished in eighth place after a loss to Ray in four sets.
