Funeral service for Tracy Freer, 47, Dickinson, is 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Cal Oraw officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Visitation for Tracy is 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Stevenson Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Tracy passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, in Dickinson.
Tracy Freer was born to Tom Freer and Betty Stevens on Sept. 4, 1965, in Richardton. He grew up in Hettinger, graduating from Hettinger High School in 1983.
Tracy worked for Johnny Mertin’s Custom Combine out of Devil’s Lake traveling throughout the Midwest and West, stopping in California and Texas for a few years. He returned to Dickinson in 2000.
In 2002, he purchased the Queen City Motel and operated it with his wife, Roberta.
Tracy was very proud of all of his children and family, especially his grandson, Landyn. He was very happy to see the positive changes in his son Bryce’s life.
He loved fishing and recently purchased a boat and cabin at Riverdale.
Tracy was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Minnesota Vikings.
Tracy is survived by his wife, Roberta; his mother, Betty Stevens and step-father Barry Stevens; his children, Brandon (Tiffany) Reisenauer of Mandan, Josalynn (Rocky Kraft) Reisenauer of Dickinson, Jerrica (Paul) Friedt of Dickinson, and Bryce (Emily Dukart) Reisenauer of Dickinson; grandchildren, Landyn Scott, Rayne Ruth, Skylar Ray, Bently Thomas and one on the way, Channing Anthony; siblings, John (Nellie) Stevens of Dickinson, Scott (Kris) Stevens of Billings, Mont., Chad (Wendy) Barta of Fargo, Cristie (Andy) Peters of Dickinson, Jerry (Carolyn) Freer of Dickinson, Kipp (Angie) Stevens of Fargo, and Candace (Derrick “Bubba”) Smith of Dickinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Freer; father-in-law, Ed Kubishta; and grandparents, Bobbie Kivimagi, Martin and Susanna Freer, and John and Emelia Schwartz.
