Police: No new leads in hit-and-run that left 1 dead

Dickinson Police Sgt. Dan Brown said Friday no new information was available on Wednesday’s hit-and-run death near Villard Street.

Forty-seven-year-old Tracy Freer was identified by the DPD as the victim in the incident, which Brown said was still under investigation. DPD was called to the Queen City Motel parking lot at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Freer, the owner of the motel, died from his injuries at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson.

DPD is requesting that anyone with any knowledge of the incident contact an officer at 701-456-7759. Contacts may remain anonymous.
