Letter: ND crisis jeopardizes health of vulnerable citizens
On Planet Heitkamp, fact is fiction and fiction is fact. For example, you say climate modeling, which by definition does not represent settled science, proves greenhouse gases produced by human activity are creating a global climate catastrophe. And you sell the lie that North Dakota’s booming economy is a function of markets.
The truth is, North Dakota’s economic boom is driven by the fed’s massive intervention into capital markets, i.e., QE Infinity.
This is devaluing the dollar and artificially driving up the price of oil and ag commodities. But bipartisan liars like you tell North Dakota citizens our economy is not a bubble, so unlimited tax dollars can be spent on your cronies’ infrastructure projects.
I can’t build an addition on my house without a permit but North Dakota citizens are supposed to believe Oil Patch growth couldn’t have been limited to county government’s ability to meet infrastructure needs.
You whine about safety hazards created by the infrastructure crisis in oil-producing counties and demand more government spending to mitigate the crisis. But given the fact that North Dakota has previous experience with oil booms, the only conclusion is the crisis was intentionally created by your power/money-hungry bipartisan cronies.
You and your bipartisan partners in crime have created a crisis that jeopardizes the health and safety of North Dakota’s most vulnerable citizens. The harm done to the elderly should be treated as a criminal offense and you should be doing a perp walk.
