Letter: Operation Christmas Child thanks all for generosity
There’s not a better way to kick off the Christmas season than to fill and collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!
I would like to thank the many individuals, families, churches, schools and other organizations from southwest North Dakota who either filled a shoebox with gifts or gave a monetary donation to Operation Christmas Child.
We collected 1,103 shoeboxes for this outreach ministry! I thank all of you for your generosity. The children around the world who receive the boxes filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies will be blessed because of your kindness.
Operation Christmas Child is an outreach ministry of Samaritan’s Purse that delivers these gifts to needy children all over the world. Most of these children have nothing due to famine, war, natural disasters, or neglect due to various reasons. Thank you again for participating this year and I look forward to another year of collecting the shoeboxes in 2013. Have a blessed and very Merry Christmas!
Jodeen Myers, Dickinson, Operation Christmas Child coordinator for southwest North Dakota
