Judge changes felony to misdemeanor in case involving drunken Dickinson resident who shot man

A man charged with felony attempted murder after a drunken altercation in Dickinson where he shot another resident last year had the charge lowered to a misdemeanor this morning in Southwest District Court in Dickinson.

A man charged with felony attempted murder after a drunken altercation in Dickinson where he shot another resident last year had the charge lowered to a misdemeanor this morning in Southwest District Court in Dickinson.

The men were drinking together at a bar and got into an altercation. Michael Lewis Pope later ended up shooting another man four times with a 9 mm handgun. The victim survived.
