WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — The shooting deaths of three horses in McKenzie County continue to stump sheriff's officials.

The Humane Society is offering a reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of whoever shot and killed the horses, which were owned by breeder Dale Kling.

The horses were found fatally shot in a pasture south of Watford City.

Kling's brother, Russ Kling, said that one of the mares was shot at least eight times. Two were discovered Dec. 2, while the third was found a day later. All three brood mares had colts that weren't shot.

People with information are asked to call the McKenzie County Sheriff's Office at 701-444-3654.
