DHS to present concert

The Dickinson High School Music Department will present a holiday concert 7 p.m. Monday in the Dickinson State University Dorothy Stickney Auditorium.

The Dickinson High School Music Department will present a holiday concert 7 p.m. Monday in the Dickinson State University Dorothy Stickney Auditorium.

The concert will open with selections by the three DHS choirs and the combined swing choirs.

Selections will include many styles, from old favorites such as “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” to new classics like “Lux Arumque.”

The second half of the concert will present selections performed by the wind and concert bands.

The bands’ holiday offerings include “All I want for Christmas is You”with Trumpet soloist, David Fehr, and “Latin Bell Carol.”

The evening ends with a grand holiday finale of all the groups.

DHS choral activities are under the direction of Michael R. Stevenson, and accompanied by Sharon Gegelmann.

DHS instrumental activities are under the direction of Keith Traquair.

A small admission will be taken at the door.
