Letter: Time to start stepping on toes
The tragedy that happened in Connecticut saddens me. My heart goes out to all the families.

One can only wonder why anyone would do such a horrible thing. Now here we go with the gun blame once again.
You know who is to blame, we are. We allowed Jesus to be removed from our schools, our lives and the government. We sat back and let it happen. We never said a word for fear of stepping on someone’s toes.
Well, it’s about time America that we start putting on some steel toe boots, because we need to start stepping on toes. It’s time people start taking a stand. It’s time we start putting Jesus back into our country and our schools and watch Him move. Watch Him make a difference.
Any man or woman of God would never have been capable of doing such a senseless act. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy; I (Jesus) have come so that you may have life to the full.” We remove Jesus and that’s just an open door for evil to come in.
You think taking away guns from the law-abiding citizens is going to make this all go away? Do you not think these criminals will get their hands on guns? They will and then we will be defenseless.
We rely on the law enforcement too much. They cannot be everywhere at once. Take away guns and these people who are capable of this type of crime will still find a way to have guns, if not they will use other sorts of weapons.
One Nation Under God.
