Motorists throughout western North Dakota are dealing with icy roads.

The state Department of Transportation says blowing snow is sticking to roads and causing slick conditions. The agency has issued a travel alert for the Williston, Minot, Dickinson and Bismarck regions. That means motorists can still travel but should use caution.

Temperatures in many parts of the state hit 30 degrees early Wednesday, and the National Weather Service says daytime highs through the weekend should be about as balmy.
