The North Dakota Department of Transportation lifted the travel alert for the Dickinson, Williston and Minot areas at about 3:30 today.

However an alert remains in effect for the Bismarck area and is extended to the Jamestown, Valley City and surrounding areas due to blowing snow causing areas of scattered ice. The alert means motorists can still travel, but may encounter areas of challenging winter weather driving conditions and should use caution.
