Saturday's Bismarck Civic Center Jamboree basketball games moved to Century, Shiloh

Saturday’s high school basketball jamboree at the Bismarck Civic Center has been moved out of the arena to other venues because of power outage issues, officials said Friday afternoon.

A power outage at the Civic Center on Thursday night caused the postponement of a boys and girls basketball doubleheader between Bismarck High and Mandan. The issue was still a cause for concern Friday and has forced tournament officials to move the slate of seven boys and eight girls basketball games.

The boys games will be played at Bismarck Century High School. Killdeer and Solen-Cannonball tip off the action at 8:30 a.m. MST.

The girls games are now at Shiloh Christian School beginning at 8:30 a.m. MST with Hebron-Glen Ullin meeting Standing Rock.

Both schools are located on the north side of Interstate 94 off exit 159.

The day’s lone game postponed by weather, as of Friday afternoon, was a boys matchup between Grant County and South Border. Several school officials told The Dickinson Press that their decisions on whether or not to postpone or cancel their own games will be made by Saturday morning.

Grant County’s game does not have a makeup date. Any of Saturday games that are postponed can be made up at a later date, but the venue would have to be chosen by the two schools.
