MILES CITY, Mont. — After a difficult dual loss to Sidney, Mont., on Thursday, the Dickinson High wrestling team saw more of the top wrestling programs in Montana over the weekend.
Dickinson sophomore Austin Hutzenbiler was the lone placer finishing sixth for the Midgets at the Cowboy Classic on Saturday.
“It was really an unbelievably tough tournament this year,” Dickinson head coach Pete Dobitz said. “We are seeing improvements. We have kids that are learning. They aren’t making the same mistakes they were making at the Bismarck Rotary (on Jan. 4-5).”
The Midgets return to West Region when they visit Jamestown at 6 p.m. Thursday.
“I think we’re going to be glad to be back in the state of North Dakota,” Dobitz said. “We’re getting back to familiarity. I think that’s going to help us.”
