David Sheppard of Dickinson holds up a sign just east of the T-Rex Mall in opposition to abortion during a candlelight vigil Tuesday night in Dickinson. About 100 people braved barely double-digit temperatures by forming a human chain along ND Highway 22 from Museum Drive to the Third Street intersection to protest the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.
