Septic services fined for improper wastewater disposal in western North Dakota
The North Dakota Department of Health has assessed $700,000 in penalties on Hurley Enterprises and MonDak Septic Service for improper disposal of domestic wastewater in western North Dakota in 2011 and 2012, according to the DOH.

Each of the responsible drivers for these septic tank pumping companies also were assessed a $1,500 penalty.
The Associated Press reports State Water Quality Director Dennis Fewless said drivers for the companies improperly disposed of septic tank wastewater on farm fields more than 150 times. He says a handful of drivers also were fined $1,500 each.
