DHS sends 7 to semis at Belle Fourche Invite
BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. — After a tough 49-15 dual loss against Bismarck Century, the Dickinson High wrestling team rebounded at the Belle Fourche Invitational.
BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. — After a tough 49-15 dual loss against Bismarck Century, the Dickinson High wrestling team rebounded at the Belle Fourche Invitational.
The Midgets sent seven to the semifinals, totaling 79.5 points for third place after Friday, the first day of the tournament.
“I am hoping everyone gets up for the action tomorrow,” Dickinson co-head coach Cody Wolf said.
Bismarck Century leads the field with 117 points, while Sturgis, S.D., is in second with 95.5.
Dickinson has Jaret Lee, Austin Hutzenbiler, Devin Berger, Clayton Tangen, Rafael Lopez, Jace Dukart and Chris Sickler fighting for championship places.
The Midgets also have Collin Theilen, Michael Cherwinski, Michael Dobitz, Jacob Shypkowski and David Ramsey in the consolation rounds.
The tournament continues at 9 a.m. today.
“We brought our full varsity and junior varsity,” Wolf said. “There are some very good teams here and it’s a good team builder.”
