Natural gas service was restored to all but 16 customers as of 4 a.m. today in the Taylor area after a transmission pipeline was hit early Monday evening by a third-party contractor trenching in the area.
A door hanger was left for those customers and all have called in and orders have been dispatched to a service tech for the remaining homes. Those relights are under way and should conclude by noon, barring any unforeseen issues.
The transmission pipeline is the source of natural gas for Montana-Dakota Utilities customers in Taylor. Montana-Dakota does not own the damaged pipeline.
