BOWMAN — The Dickinson Trinity boys basketball team has a way of settling into games.

After 10 days off, the Titans got through a choppy first quarter and then blazed past Bowman County en route to an 82-46 Region 7 victory at Solberg Gymnasium.

Senior Isiah Binstock dominated the paint, scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds for the No. 3-ranked Titans, who improved to 14-1 overall.

“All 10 kids that we played really played well,” Trinity head coach Gregg Grinsteinner said. “It was a good way to come back.”

Senior Jacob Volk had 19 points and six rebounds, junior Austin Diechert added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench while senior Jesse Kubik added 10 points.

“We established Isiah and (Kubik) in the second quarter,” Grinsteinner said. “It was between those two, and Jacob took over in the third quarter.”

Senior Brandon Orcutt led Bowman County (5-10) with 15 points and seven rebounds. Senior Colter Braaten added seven points and six assists as the Titans bottled up him, senior Michael Palczewski and the Fischer brothers, Brandon and Tanner.

“They had a lot of open looks and had to earn every point they got,” Grinsteinner said.

Trinity hosts a surging and high-scoring Mott-Regent squad at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mott National Guard Armory.
