HETTINGER — The Hettinger-Scranton clinched a trip to the Class B state dual tournament and Region 4’s No. 1 seed on Saturday.
The Night Hawks won all but one match en route to a 67-6 dual win over Beulah-Hazen.
“I thought the boys came out and wrestled very aggressive,” Hettinger-Scranton head coach Randy Burwick said. “Overall, it was a pretty good effort by the kids.”
Hettinger-Scranton seniors Codi Tomac and Rodney Vanhoff each won by pin. The Night Hawks added five forfeit wins in the final six matches.
The Region 4 Tournament is next Saturday at Solberg Gymnasium in Bowman.
