LC State women pull away to defeat Blue Hawks

LEWISTON, Idaho — The Dickinson State women’s basketball team made its runs at Lewis-Clark State on Thursday night, trailing by as much as 19 in the first half only to retake the lead by a single point midway through the second half.

But the Warriors stayed steady and pulled away from the Blue Hawks late en route to a 87-67 Frontier Conference victory.

Annie Kane scored 21 points and had 11 assists to lead five LCSC (8-19, 5-8 Frontier) players who scored in double figures.

Janae Moore had 15 points and seven rebounds while Jess Bygate added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Blue Hawks (7-18, 2-9 Frontier). Senior Jenna Cabello, who got her first start of the season, had 12 points.
