Trinity girls top Killdeer, win 9th straight
KILLDEER — Dickinson Trinity’s win streak continued Thursday night as it clinched the No. 1 seed for the District 14 girls basketball tournament.
KILLDEER — Dickinson Trinity’s win streak continued Thursday night as it clinched the No. 1 seed for the District 14 girls basketball tournament.
Katelyn Grinsteinner had 10 points, eight steals and seven rebounds as Trinity used a strong second half to hold off Killdeer 44-38 for its ninth consecutive victory.
Rachel Jahner didn’t score much, but her the junior produced the all-around effort the Titans needed.
Jahner had six points, six rebounds and six assists in the win, which helped Trinity improve to 12-4 overall and finish the District 14 regular season with a 5-0 record.
Kennedy Keator added a team-high 11 points for Trinity.
Jessica Starr led Killdeer (8-9, 4-1 District 14) with 16 points while Morgan LeMieux added seven points and six rebounds.
The Cowboys, which will have the district tournament’s No. 2 seed, committed 30 turnovers.
