Dickinson girls edge Saints in OT
BISMARCK — For the second time this season, the Dickinson High girls basketball team went to overtime against Bismarck St. Mary’s.

After Rachel Schroeder’s 23-point performance, the Midgets have now won both West Region meetings against the Saints.
Dickinson rallied in the second half to defeat St. Mary’s 55-54 on Thursday.
“We battled to get it into overtime,” Dickinson head coach Dan Pender said. “We were stepping up and making free throws. Overall, I thought we did a nice job.”
Ali Moody supplied 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Taylor Cooper added eight points, including four key free throws down the stretch for the Midgets.
Dickinson is now 7-10 overall and 5-9 in the West. St. Mary’s dropped to 5-11 overall and 5-9 in the West.
Rachel Power led the Saints with 13 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Sydney Miller and Dominique Giesen each added 11 points.
The Midgets play their home finale against West Region opponent Mandan at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
“The girls are excited and hopefully we can take this momentum into the game on Tuesday,” Pender said.
