Berthold man dies in 2-vehicle crash in McKenzie County
A two-vehicle accident on Saturday morning in McKenzie County claimed the life of an Oklahoma man.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Thomas Trullinger, 63, of Berthold, was traveling west on Highway 23 in his 2006 Peterbilt 10 miles west of New Town.
Devin Farah, 27, of Tulsa, Okla., was traveling westbound in front of Trullinger in a 1989 Ford Bronco when Farrah attempted to make a U-turn and Trullinger’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Farrah’s semi. Trullinger’s vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane facing northwest. Farrah’s vehicle ran off the road and came to rest in the south ditch facing southeast.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, but Farah died at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
The NDHP and McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
