Seiler, Risse supply 9 RBIs as DSU downs Dordt

TUSCON, Ariz. — The Dickinson State baseball team continued to rack up runs at the Tucson Invitational.

TUSCON, Ariz. — The Dickinson State baseball team continued to rack up runs at the Tucson Invitational.

After scoring a pair of 12-run wins on Tuesday, the Blue Hawks supplied a 14-1 win over Dordt College (Iowa) on Wednesday.

Tanner Newman and Tyler Garner combined for the seven-inning wallop allowing seven hits and one run. Newman was credited with the win.

Eric Seiler led the offense going 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and a double, while Ryan Risse added a perfect 3-for-3 performance with 4 RBIs. Jacob Muir supplied two hits and scored three runs.

Nathan Fraley and Nick Serrato each had two hits for Dordt. Andy Kollbaum had the team’s lone RBI.

The Blue Hawks are now 9-6 on the season and have won five straight games at the invitational. DSU continues its season in Tucson playing Dordt at 9 a.m. and Grandview College (Iowa) at 12:30 p.m. today.
