Letter to the Editor: We are all loving teachers
By: Greg Molinaro, Letter to the Editor
Who are we? From your very early years as a girl we have loved you, so much so we knew as a woman you would need to make informed choices.
So we taught you about abstinence so you would know what created a baby, and how you could be responsible in your actions to avoid having one too soon.
We even taught you about condom use so you would have other choices.
Out of love, we also offered science to help you. We wish for you abstinence until you find your true love, but if you chose not, the pill is another choice you can make.
We want you to know that we love you, and we have loved you for a very long time. Should you become pregnant with a child that you do not want, that breaks our heart but we love you and we love the child you are carrying.
We know this can be life changing for you. We offer you one of the finest adoption systems in the world. We love you and will be with you through your pregnancy and beyond.
So regarding choice, we offered you the choices of abstinence, contraception, the pill and adoption. After all, those loving choices we offered you, we ask that you be lovingly responsible for the life within you, not ask for one additional choice that would end that life.
We are thankful your mother chose to give you life. And please know, we love you so much, that even when you were yet unborn, we were willing to protect your right to live, just as we are desiring to protect the life within you.
Who are we? We are your family, your friends, and people of your community. We have loved you for a very, long time.
Greg Molinaro,
