The Ken and Cherie Roshau family of Dickinson was recognized for a lifetime of service to their church and community when they were named Family of the Year by the North Dakota Knights of Columbus. World War I: A Dickinson display in stereo and song
The history of World War I covers more than European battles, trenches and mustard gas. Families in America were impacted in other ways. Besides sending their sons to war, families raised Victory Gardens, purchased war bonds and played patriot songs on the radio. Trinity High School senior Anna Friedt, 18, was recently elected as a 4-H Ambassador.
“Basically, the Ambassador program is to help promote the 4-H program in any way possible,” Friedt said.

Dickinson High School senior Alyssa Selinger was awarded one of five Northern Visions Awards during the North Dakota Juried Art Show at Minot.
Nearly 590 pieces of student art (kindergarten to grade 12) were on display April 10 to 28 in the Taube Museum of Art.
