The name of this group and following headline is an oximoron, The Washington, D.C.-based, nonpartisan Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, non-partisan and Brady Campaign, do not belong in the same sentence.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. They will get my guns when they pry them from my cold dead hands.

I really don't care what the Brady Campaign thinks about our gun laws. If you want stricter gun laws move to California!

As a liberal with a safe full of guns. I can honestly say our state laws are a joke. Keep in mind I am all for legal gun ownership. However. During the Brady Ban days ( when it was so hard to get a gun) I got a phone call that at our local gun show there was a guy with a bunch of Mac-90's for sale. I left my office, when up, bought the Mac-90 ( AK-47) with a butt stock. Then went to the next table bought to 30 round clips, then went to Wally world and bought a few boxes of ammo and was back in my office in less then 45 mins from start to finish. This is when it was hard to get a gun... We don't have gun problems here because our population is small. But that is changing. We had more murders in Dickinson this year then the last 15's combined. Plus the Gladstone Shoot out, and the Wetzel last year that shot the cops. ( There is a guy who should not own a gun) So saying that we don't have the problems here you must have your blinders on.

Good point Al....maybe we can find out what we're doing right and take corrective action to slip further. I'm tired of groups from other states telling us what is wrong with us.

This is a serious issue...we need to see what we can do to score lower. How do we get rid of those four points?

This is one poll that I'm glad we score low on. DC should keep out of our business.

Nice of them to list the other seven better places to live than California or New Jersey.
