On the way home from Fargo the other night, we hit such bad fog, visability was TERRIBLE! And guess what! Nothing on the signs. What a shocker, huh?

The North Dakota Department of Transportation had portable message boards setting near the locations where the giant message boards were installed along I 94 in December. The portable message boards were seldom used, even though they sat there for five or six years. I do recall seeing a Happy Holidays greeting on one of them when they were first installed. Evidently the novelty wore off after a short time and that has carried over to the new message boards. Perhaps some of the NDDOT decision makers are seeing these giant message boards in other states(usually near the large metropolitan areas) and have decided it would be great to have some in North Dakota. What a waste of money. They need to scrap this program.
